Pets must be disease and pest free and have received all required vaccinations. Pets who pose a threat to the well-being of staff or residents are not permitted. Some charges may apply.
11. How does a resident get emergency assistance?
Each apartment is equipped with an emergency pull-cord system in several areas of each apartment. The emergency response system activates pagers carried by the care staff.
12.Does Wildwood Canyon Villa provide short-term care?
Yes. Respite Care and Short Term Stays are available. Respite care can provide a much needed break for family caregivers, as well as introduce residents to all that Assisted Living and Memory Care offers. Short-term stays are very beneficial as one recuperates from surgery. Respite and short-term stays are dependent on apartment availability. 13.What safety measures have been taken to secure Wildwood Canyon Villa?
Fire resistant construction with isolation zones, state of the art alarm and monitoring system with smoke and heat detectors, alarm pull stations and fully integrated sprinkler system in all areas of the building including the attic, covered outside porches and closets, combine to ensure safety. Each apartment is equipped with an emergency response call system with pull cord which can be adapted to allow a resident to activate it from a pendant worn around the neck or wrist. All staff are trained in life safety and emergency preparedness skills. The building is also locked in the evening and throughout the night. Staff members are notified through the paging system if anyone enters or exits the building after the doors have been locked for the night.
14. Do you have visiting hours?
No. The community is open to family members and friends 24 hours a day. Obviously, it is best to time your visit when it is most beneficial to your loved one.
15. If I would like to eat with a resident how far in advance do I need to let you know?
We request that guests notify Wildwood Canyon Villa 24 hours beforehand if possible. We also have a private dining room that is available for special celebrations. It is available on reservation basis.
16. Does the community have a beauty shop?
Yes, beautician services are available at reasonable prices. Weekly hours of services are posted and appointments can be made directly with the beautician.
